What's inside each box?
Each of these boxes contains six bottles of wine produced at our special vineyard. A different selection of wines has been made for each of the four designs and these are listed at our online shop page
The box also contains a gift package with the following:
- Art card featuring a pen and watercolour illustration of Astley Vineyard with note from the family
- Fold out menu describing the wines in the box
- A5 four-page folded leaflet introducing Astley and its history with photographs
- Curated suggestion list of related books, music and more for the recipient to explore
- A beautiful photo of a landscape view from the vineyard at dusk
- A small envelope of wildflowers seeds to scatter for the bugs and birds
Old Vines - New Wines
Astley Vineyard is one of the oldest in the UK, first planted in 1971. Managed sustainably by Tim & Bev Haywood, the estate has 5 acres planted as vineyard and it has six different grape varieties including the estate's special Kerner vines which are on the Global Old Vine Registry.
Astley has its own winery and all the wines contained in the gift boxes have been bottled on the estate.
Supporting Worcestershire countryside
At Astley Vineyard we are committed to caring for the land and the wildlife that calls it home. We've planted wildflowers between the vines, manage the hedgerows for the benefit of the birds, conduct surveys of bats and fungi, and more.
So we are delighted to commit a donation of 7.5% of profits from the sale of each box to the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, contributing to their care for the countryside. [minimum donation of £1]. The WWT is the county’s leading local charity working towards a environment rich in wildlife. With the support of volunteers and members they manage almost 3,000 acres of land for wildlife and people across Worcestershire. The WWT works with and inspires local communities and young people to care for wildlife where they live. Worcestershire Wildlife Trust is one of 46 Wildlife Trusts working across the UK.
A Creative Partnership
The stunning illustrations for the gift box sleeves are by Dave Webb of Worcester-based design agency WeAreBeard. We are delighted to have been in partnership with their team since 2017 when the agency first created the business's memorable and unique visual identity and designing our range of iconic labels that feature the wildlife of the estate.
Delivery and important information
There are three delivery options - you can indicate your choice at checkout
- Free pick up from the vineyard.
- Home delivery within Worcestershire for £5 within 7 days
- Or delivery by Royal Mail - £15 per box.
Christmas orders - Last order date to ensure delivery before Christmas will be 6 pm on Wednesday 16th December for Royal Mail despatch, and Friday 18th December for home delivery within Worcestershire or vineyard pick up
