Have you got a small vineyard, or some garden grapevines? Would you like to learn how to prune them and set them up for the growing season ahead? Or would you just like to spend a morning in our beautiful vineyard learning about some of the oldest vines in the UK, and sampling our award-winning wines?
Join our owner and vineyard manager, Tim Haywood, for an educational and entertaining half day which will include:-
- An introduction to our vines, and the history of our vineyard
- An introduction to viticulture and the principles of pruning
- A hands-on session in the vineyard where you will be able to practice the pruning skills you have learned
- Mid morning tea, coffee, and biscuits
- Lunch with a glass of our delicious wine
£65 per person, includes lunch and refreshments. £100 per couple. Limited availability (max 8 people).

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
Yes, bring what tools you normally use. We will, however, have some tools available for the workshop.
What should I wear?
Bring layers - this is mostly a practical workshop outside, but there will be some time spent inside.
Waterproof boots/wellies, a coat, hat, gloves, and maybe a waterbottle are advised.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We will only cancel this event in the case of heavy rain. We will watch the weather and be in communication with you.
Do I need some prior knowledge of pruning?
Absolutely not - whether you're a keen gardener, or an absolute novice, we will provide all the information you need to prune your vine.
