Kerner (a relative of Riesling) is the pride & joy of Astley Vineyard. Planted in 1971, these unique vines are perfectly suited to making crisp, steely sparkling wines. This wine is our unique take on English sparkling wine. Made for celebrations.

Tastes of:  Orchard fruit, Lime Marmalade, Brown bread crust, Hazelnut.

Sweetness: Brut (7.5g/L)

Time on lees: 72 months (6 years).

This brand new vintage of sparkling Kerner is dark, rich & characterful. Having spent 72 months (6 years) on lees, the brown bread & hazelnut aromas are underpinned by a ripe orchard fruit and a lime palate. Kerner's telltale acidity keeps the flavour lingering, making this a classic, if slightly-brooding, sparkling wine. Delicious.
