8 years – How time flies!

This week marks eight incredible years since our family took the leap and made Astley Vineyard our home 🏑 We embarked on an ambitious dream – to transform one of England’s oldest vineyards into something truly special

Looking back, it feels like a beautiful blur of early mornings in the vineyard, long days in the winery, and countless moments that have shaped who we are today. From Chris perfecting his winemaking craft to Tim nurturing our 53-year-old vines, from Bev building our wonderful community to Matleena (somehow!) managing vineyard work with a growing Arlo – we’ve all grown alongside these ancient vines.

What a journey it’s been! From ‘Winner of Winners’ at the Visit Worcestershire Awards to seeing our wines grace Michelin-starred tables. From pioneering England’s legal piquette production to leading groundbreaking wildflower research. We’ve pushed boundaries with orange wines and bespoke vermouths, installed solar panels, and launched our vineyard shepherd huts.

We’ve weathered literal storms (that 2020 frost still gives us nightmares!), celebrated the highs of 2018’s exceptional vintage, and found joy in the small moments – like Arlo’s first steps between the vine rows or Otso’s daily patrols of “his” vineyard.

But our proudest achievement? Building a sustainable business that champions our local community while respecting the ancient land we’re privileged to call home.

So, we’re raising a glass [ Freya of course] to the next chapter and new adventures waiting in every vintage πŸ₯‚

Thank you for believing in our vision πŸ™
